Celebrate Easter
at Christ Alone

St. Paul writes, “Christ has indeed been raised from the dead” (1 Corinthians 15:20). Big word: Indeed! Paul is stressing that we must not think of Jesus’ resurrection like a happy ending to another epic fable. The resurrection is not legend. It really happened. Easter is not just a holiday. Easter is history. On time’s infinite line, Jesus’ resurrection is the punctiliar moment that defines reality for us all. If Christ remained dead, he is a fraud and failure. But Christ has indeed been raised. So, the reality: Jesus is exactly what he claimed to be—the Son of God, our Lord and Savior. If Christ remained dead, then the grave is the final, ugly, rotten end of us all. But Christ has indeed been raised. So, the reality is Jesus’ resurrection proves that “all will be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22). The reality of the resurrection does not just change our future, but the way we look at life now.

The greatest theologian of the early church, Augustine, called the season of Easter “a joyful week of weeks”—seven wonderful weeks, each seven glorious days long. In this glorious season, let us meditate upon the breathtaking implications of the resurrection reality.

Children’s Sunday School

Feeding Jesus’ lambs with God’s Word is important to us at Christ Alone.

Our Sunday School is here to help parents bring up their children in the knowledge of Jesus their Savior through weekly lessons in God’s Word.  Beginning after Labor Day, at 9:15am we invite all children to enjoy an hour of Sunday School.  The children ages 0 – 8th grade start out in the sanctuary for a prayer and then meet with their class and enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons, activities, and songs.

Sunday School is held every Sunday morning from Labor Day to Memorial Day, with the exception of Christmas and Easter weekends.

All visitors are welcome!

Christ Alone is a family of believers built on the rock solid foundation of God's word. Worship and God's word are central to our faith and life. Come each Sunday morning at 10:30 for an uplifting and relevant message focused on what God's word means in our lives. Music and the arts serve to focus on God's grace and love.

There's something for all ages at Christ Alone. Sunday school serves our young ones. For teens, we offer youth bible study, the adults take part in choir, bible studies, and in many opportunities to serve one another and the Lord.
